Press on Jeff in Birmingham
"The only other consistency has been Holmes’ ability to write incredibly indulgent music that’s catchy and appealing. He’s a timid intellectual at heart, but also a wordy bastard who’s fearless in mining classic pop territory." Read More

PensEyeView.com Reviews Pleasurado!
Their latest offering, “Pleasurado!” is the prefect crown to their designation. Like any Floating Men album, the goal is “to create the richest, most enduring popular music experience of the listener’s life. We strive to make each album always instills a fresh, vital and deeply rewarding sense of discovery.” It’s certainly unique among other works of popular music, addressing “the sexual, chemical and socio-economic issues of America’s dark side with intelligence, maturity, artistic delicacy and yes, where appropriate, bawdiness and humor.” The collection directly attacks the topics behind what is “perhaps the most basic of all human truths: sexuality.” Read the full review

Pleasurado! Gets added to AAA Radio Playlists
Pleasurado is tied for 14'th most added album (to radio station playlists) on Adult Alternative (AAA) reporting stations.*
WHO IS AHEAD OF US? Patty Larkin is in sole possession of Number 1. Clustered between her and us is a who's who of superstars with major label budgets: Robert Plant and Allison Krauss, Willie Nelson, The Eagles, The Black Crows, Radiohead, Sheryl Crow, and the list goes on. WHO IS BEHIND US? Springsteen, B52s, Foo Fighters, Cowboy Junkies and so forth.
Not too shabby for an indie band, eh?
* Stations that report their airplay list to the "Friday Morning Quarterback" charting service; we've also been added at a growing number of Americana and non-reporting AAA stations, which will show up on Americana charts or no charts at all.

FM Mentioned in NowOnTour
"In all honesty, the first time I caught The Floating Men live, the band's lyrics and message equally inspired, enlightened and repulsed me, leaving me equal parts dumbfounded, horny and in search of a dictionary. The musicianship of the live act (including likely guitar prodigy Chris Cottros) will rarely be surpassed... Don't be the last to know. The Kool-Aid's ready." - Patrick Steven Patterson, NowOnTour
